Job summary

Oklo Inc is seeking a Materials Test Engineer to plan, develop, and execute materials-testing programs supporting advanced nuclear technology development. You will define test objectives, prepare specimens, and oversee laboratory execution including data analysis, reporting, and risk assessment.

The role involves traveling up to 10% and contributing to test program development, data validation, and lab development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in materials science & engineering or related field.
• Experience interpreting test data and producing technical reports.
• Ability to lift up to 30 pounds and travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute materials-testing programs and plans.
• Plan test objectives, prepare specimens, and establish procedures.
• Lead or support test setup, readiness reviews, and data collection.
• Review data quality, assess uncertainties, and interpret material behavior.
• Prepare test and failure-analysis reports with clear conclusions.
