Job summary

Oklo Inc. is seeking a Quality Engineer to provide technical quality engineering support for materials, pressure-retaining components, supplier activities, and code compliance in the nuclear sector.

The role collaborates with Engineering, Procurement, and Suppliers to translate code into practical controls and ensure traceability and acceptance of items and services. Qualifications

  • 7+ years of progressively responsible quality engineering, materials engineering, supplier quality, inspection, testing, fabrication, or related experience in nuclear energy, DoE work, ASME Code construction, or another highly regulated environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering discipline or equivalent experience.
  • Strong working knowledge of ASME BPVC and ability to interpret material, fabrication, examination, testing, documentation, and certification requirements to procurement and supplier activities.
  • Strong working knowledge of ASME NQA-1 and ANSI/ANS-15.8 quality assurance requirements and how they are translated into practical controls.

Responsibilities

  • Support implementation and continuous improvement of quality engineering controls per ASME NQA-1, ANSI/ANS-15.8, BPVC, project specs, contracts, and Oklo procedures.
  • Review CMTRs, material certifications, and laboratory reports for completeness and traceability.
  • Provide guidance on material testing, acceptance strategies, and laboratory expectations.
  • Develop and maintain a Certifying Engineer Program with competency, training, and qualification.
  • Participate in design, procurement, supplier, fabrication, and readiness reviews to identify Code interfaces and material risks.
  • Evaluate nonconformances, dispositions, root cause analyses, and corrective actions; ensure proper documentation and closure.
