Job summary

Oklo is seeking a Mid-level Materials Test Engineer in Idaho Falls to plan, develop, and execute materials-testing programs that support advanced nuclear technology development.

The role covers test lifecycle activities from objectives and specimen prep through data analysis, failure investigation, and final reporting, with up to 10% travel. A BS in a related field and hands-on testing experience are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in materials science and engineering or related field.
• Experience interpreting test data and preparing clear technical reports.
• Ability to lift, move, and position objects up to 30 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Translate engineering data requirements into executable tests.
• Prepare test plans, procedures, and data-collection methods for materials-characterization activities.
• Lead test setup, readiness reviews, and equipment checkout.
