Job summary

Oklo in Idaho Falls is hiring a Test Process Equipment Engineer to support the lifecycle of test platforms for advanced nuclear technology. The role covers equipment selection, engineering analysis, CAD/document development, and test operations with up to 10% travel.

The candidate should have a strong mechanical/chemical/nuclear engineering background, experience with process equipment, piping diagrams, and vendor drawings, and be able to work in a fast-paced testing environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a mechanical/chemical/nuclear field or related technical area.
• Experience designing, specifying, procuring, commissioning, or troubleshooting process and mechanical equipment.
• Experience reviewing piping and instrument diagrams, process-flow diagrams, equipment data sheets, and vendor drawings.

Responsibilities

• Equipment specification and selection based on test requirements.
• Perform engineering analyses: fluid flow, pressure drop, heat transfer, sizing.
• Develop and review P&ID, data sheets, system descriptions, and installation details.
• Support test readiness, startup, operation, monitoring, and post-test activities.
