Job summary

Los Alamos National Laboratory seeks a Materials Management Specialist 2 to support shipping and traffic management. You will operate forklifts, coordinate pickups, package shipments, and prepare compliant shipping documents. Strong communication with customers and management is essential.

Qualifications include an Associate's Degree with 5 years of related experience or equivalent, forklift certification, and a DOE Q clearance. Experience with Oracle, ATLAS, and FedEx systems is preferred.

Qualifications

Associate's Degree required; 5 years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience coordinating shipments incl. small parcels (FedEx), LTL, and TL.
Ability to obtain forklift certification and DOE Q clearance.
Strong organizational skills with ability to manage multiple tasks under deadlines.
Experience with shipping regulations and documentation.

Responsibilities

Operate forklifts and material handling equipment.
Coordinate and schedule pickups with external vendors.
Prepare and package material for shipping; ensure compliance with regulations.
Maintain and prepare shipping documentation; communicate with customers and management.
Work with computer applications to support shipping and traffic management.
