Job description

The Global Segment Marketing and Market Intelligence Program is chartered to drive customer wallet and mindshare across all Markets served by Agilent. Our mission is to lead the development of end-market strategies and execute cross-functional market initiatives to penetrate (strengthen) existing and emerging markets, maximize market share, revenue, and growth!

The AFO Materials Segment Manager will characterize end-market opportunities, perform market analysis, collaborate with customer-facing teams and product divisions to define market and customer needs. Additionally, this role will serve as the Materials regional market and customer champion, supporting marketing programs and promotions that increase awareness, lead generation, and revenue. The role also involves building relationships with external customers and key opinion leaders, initiating collaborations, and representing Agilent on relevant external committees and societies.

Key Responsibilities include:
  • Partnering with global and regional marketing teams to define and implement marketing strategies, messaging, and sales programs to drive product demand and revenue.
  • Collaborating with regional sales to provide sales tools, training, and market insights for market penetration.
  • Working with Solutions Units and Product Lines to provide feedback on market trends, opportunities, regulations, and product requirements.
  • Aligning with regional market development managers to focus sales efforts and develop customer collaborations supporting the end-market strategy.
  • Monitoring and responding to competitors' marketing activities, positioning, and tactics.
  • Engaging with industry and regulatory agencies to influence regulations and test methods.
Qualifications
  • Master's or PhD in a related scientific field.
  • Master's degree in business administration is highly desirable.
  • 8+ years of experience in senior sales, support, or marketing within the analytical technology industry.
  • Experience selling or marketing to industrial accounts is an asset.
  • Proven success in developing and executing market strategies to surpass business goals.
  • Experience with chromatography and/or spectroscopy solutions.
  • Knowledge of Battery and Semi-Conductor product development processes.
  • Experience working effectively in a highly matrixed organization.
  • Ability to work independently to meet project deadlines and budgets.
  • Market analysis and business case development experience is desirable.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and software skills (MS Office suite).
  • Willingness to travel up to 25% within North America.
