The Global Segment Marketing and Market Intelligence Program is chartered to drive customer wallet share and mindshare across all Markets served by Agilent.

Our mission is to lead the development of end-market strategies and execute cross-functional market initiatives aimed at penetrating (strengthening) existing and emerging markets, maximizing market share, revenue, and growth!

The AFO Materials Segment Manager will characterize end-market opportunities, perform market analysis, collaborate with customer-facing teams and product divisions to define market and customer needs. Additionally, this role will serve as the Materials regional market and customer champion, supporting marketing programs and promotions that raise awareness, generate leads, and drive revenue. The manager will also build relationships with external customers and opinion leaders, initiate collaborations, and represent Agilent on relevant external committees and societies.

Key Responsibilities include:

This position requires in-depth knowledge of the Advanced Materials market, customers, their needs, and enabling technologies. Responsibilities include:

  • Partnering with global and regional marketing teams to define and implement marketing strategies, messaging, and sales programs to boost product demand and revenue.
  • Collaborating with regional sales teams to provide sales tools, training, and market insights to enhance market penetration.
  • Working with Solutions Units and Product Lines to gather feedback on market trends, opportunities, regulations, and product requirements.
  • Aligning with regional market development managers to focus sales efforts and develop customer collaborations supporting end-market strategies.
  • Monitoring and responding to competitors' marketing activities, positioning, and tactics in coordination with regions and product lines.
  • Engaging with industry and regulatory agencies to influence regulations and testing methods.

Qualifications

  • Master's or PhD in a related scientific field.
  • Master's in Business Administration is highly desirable.
  • 8+ years of experience in senior sales, support, or marketing roles within the analytical technology industry.
  • Experience selling or marketing to industrial accounts is an asset.
  • Proven success in developing and executing market strategies that exceed business goals.
  • Experience with chromatography and/or spectroscopy solutions sales, support, or marketing.
  • Knowledge of Battery and Semiconductor product development processes.
  • Experience working effectively in a highly matrixed organization.
  • Ability to independently manage projects within strict timelines and budgets.
  • Market analysis and business case development experience is desirable.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and software skills (MS Office).
  • Willingness to travel up to 25% within North America.
