Job summary

Waters Corporation is seeking a Technical Sales Representative to drive sales of TA Instruments products, rheology and mechanical testing across the US-MA/US-NH/US-ME region. The role targets expanding installed base while meeting aggressive targets and fostering strong customer partnerships.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in capital equipment sales with a solid technical background, willingness to travel, and the ability to develop territory business plans in collaboration with specialists

Qualifications

• Candidates must have a science degree (BS/MS/PhD) in engineering, physics, chemistry, biology, or biochemistry.
• 3+ years capital equipment sales experience.
• Willingness to overnight travel and international travel as needed.
• Strong communication, presentation, time management, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong technical background in analytical technologies, especially calorimetry and rheometry.

Responsibilities

• Meet or exceed sales targets
• Maintain installed-base customer satisfaction
• Aggressively develop new prospects and penetrate competitive accounts
• Visit customers daily to highlight Waters solutions and help customers with any technical obstacles in their way
• Build technical competency on Waters solution and to be perceived by customers as a credible resource
• Maintain current knowledge on vertical markets dynamics, application trends, and other critical business information
• Provide information to marketing team to create business development programs
• Fully utilize of our Sales Contact Management Tools and Applications
• Submit accurate and timely monthly sales forecasts
• Develop business through monthly plan of action
