Job summary

Amrize is seeking a Quality Control Technician I to perform QC tests aligned with ASTM and AASHTO standards. You will report data, troubleshoot issues, and assist in implementing best practices for product quality across multiple plants.

The role requires a high school diploma or related experience, MD DOT Aggregate Technician or MSHA certification, and the ability to work 20–30% without direct supervision. Training and growth opportunities are provided.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent or at least two years of experience in materials.
• Required Work Experience: 1-3 years.
• Required Training/Certifications: MD DOT Aggregate Technician Certificate or the ability to obtain within 3 months; MSHA or ability to obtain in 6 months via Amrize training.

Responsibilities

• Observe and enforce all Amrize Safety Standards, Advisories, and Policies.
• Assist with the development, administration, implementation and documentation of material control plans and related data.
• Perform service, repair, and calibration of laboratory and field testing equipment.
• Update Quality Control databases and provide report summaries or analyses as needed.
• Learn basic operations of cement, asphalt or aggregate plants.
• Provide troubleshooting guidance for customers.

MD DOT Aggregate Technician Certificate

Mine Safety and Health Administration Certificate (MSHA)

Two years of post-secondary technical education or equivalent
