Job summary

Amrize in Moorhead, MN is seeking a Quality Control Technician I to perform QC tests on aggregate products and participate in data analysis to ensure conformance with ASTM/AASHTO standards. You will support the Materials Performance team and help implement best practices for product quality across the region.

The role requires basic lab skills, flexibility for some nights/weekends, and adherence to safety protocols.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Preferred Work Experience: 1-3 years concrete and or aggregate testing, Minnesota DOT Certifications or the ability to obtain (provided by Amrize)
• Two years of post-secondary technical education or equivalent in experience is preferred
• Availability and willingness to work flexible hours including some nights and weekends to meet customer needs
• Customer service with regards to testing and product information.
• Completion of testing in a timely manner and multi-tasking
• Responsible for own ongoing maintenance, calibration and calibration documentation of testing equipment
• Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment (PPE).

Responsibilities

• Observe and enforce all Amrize Safety Standards, Advisories, and Policies.
• Carry out on-the-job safety and environmental responsibilities; perform lab and field sampling and testing to meet specifications.
• Assist with data reporting and trend analysis for quality control.
• Learn basic operations of cement, asphalt or aggregate plants and provide troubleshooting.
• Support Plant Superintendents and Managers as required.
• Maintain test databases and documentation; provide summaries as needed.
• Work with minimal supervision 20-30% of the time.
• Promote safety culture in all work environments.
