Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Engineering, or related field.
• Experience in production control, materials planning, inventory control, or related operations roles.
• Hands-on experience with production control and materials management in manufacturing.
• Strong understanding of ERP systems, SAP preferred.
• Familiarity with MRP, inventory management, and shop floor control processes.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently while also collaborating with team members.
• Excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Forecasts and communicates engineering, materials, and manufacturing requirements to suppliers.
• Coordinates demand signals through MRP to minimize inventory exposure.
• Supports the creation and updates to the materials strategy for new projects.
• Negotiates supplier contracts and reviews performance; may assist in contract negotiations.
• Identifies preliminary critical parts and long-lead items with engineering.
• Meets cost targets and drives continuous improvement; tracks KPI and landed costs.
• Collaborates across functions to maximize throughput and optimize inventory.
