Job summary

Applied Materials is seeking a Program Manager, Materials Planning in Austin, TX. You will own material planning for products and parts with complex, changing demand, ensuring parts availability aligns with customer needs and timeframes.

You’ll collaborate across Engineering, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Operations, and Customer Support to validate demand, spot risk early, and drive data-informed decisions. This is an individual contributor role with leadership within a small team.

Qualifications

Experience in materials planning, supply chain planning, or demand planning.
Experience in semiconductor or complex manufacturing environments is helpful but not required.
Comfort with data analysis and reporting tools (ERP/MRP, Kinaxis, Tableau/Power BI, advanced Excel).
Exposure to demand forecasting, supply planning, inventory management, or lifecycle transitions.
Experience leading cross-functional work without formal authority.
Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent practical experience.

Responsibilities

Own material planning activities to keep parts availability aligned with demand.
Validate demand changes with customers and business teams; update forecasts when signals are real.
Balance supply, demand, inventory levels, and commitments; adjust planning assumptions as conditions change.
