Job summary

Applied Materials, Inc. is seeking a senior materials/planning professional to develop and manage cross-functional, integrated planning processes for materials management and inventory control at our Austin, TX site.

You will analyze demand, forecast needs, and coordinate with production, procurement, and quality teams to optimize supply chains. The role emphasizes supplier relationships, budgeting, and ensuring 100% on-time delivery through proactive scheduling and risk mitigation.

Qualifications

Experience in materials management and inventory control.
Forecasting and procurement experience.
Ability to lead cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

Develop, implement and manage integrated planning processes for materials management and inventory.
Analyze demand and historical usage to plan build-to-order/forecast and coordinate with teams.
Establish methods for procurement and material control systems.
Manage procurement activities, monitor inventories, and track production progress.
Identify and execute sourcing strategies; manage supplier relationships and scorecards.
Coordinate with quality, engineering, machining, and assembly to ensure on-time delivery.
Represent materials in corporate task forces; manage department budgets and resources.
