Job summary

Terracon in Fort Lauderdale is seeking a Materials Engineering Project Manager to oversee projects from initiation to completion, ensuring safety, on-time delivery, and adherence to contracted scope and budget. You will monitor progress, troubleshoot issues, and coordinate with clients and external vendors to ensure high-quality deliverables.

Under supervision, you will set priorities, plan resources, prepare reports, and lead safety efforts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in technical discipline (Engineering, Environmental Science or Geology) required or 6 years of related experience in lieu of degree.
• Valid driver’s license may be required.

Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of a materials engineering project to ensure safe completion on time, within scope and budget.
• Monitor progress and performance against the project plan and troubleshoot operational problems.
• Coordinate with external vendors, subcontractors or contractors and lead safety efforts.
• Prepare reports, communicate project status to team and client, and set priorities for staff.
• Estimate costs and resources, allocate tasks, and ensure deliverables meet contract scope.
• Conduct project meetings, manage invoices and change orders, and coordinate with APR for oversight.
• Develop understanding of project risks and promote continuous quality monitoring.
