Job summary

L3Harris Technologies in Camden, AR is seeking a Manager of Materials Process Engineering to lead a team of engineers in designing, developing, and modifying critical processes for aerospace and defense materials. You will drive improvements, mentor engineers, and influence key decisions in materials characterization and process development.

You will manage multiple projects, ensure compliance with specifications, and work with customers and leadership to meet mission needs while supporting

Qualifications

• BS in Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related technical discipline
• Graduate Degree in relevant discipline preferred with 7+ years experience
• In lieu of a degree, 13+ years of related materials process engineering experience

Responsibilities

• Lead and direct a team of materials process engineers and lower-level supervisors in designing and modifying manufacturing processes for materials applications
• Oversee the preparation and maintenance of materials and process specifications (PMPP, corrosion and contamination control)
• Guide design processes including trade studies, supplier selection, concurrent design and development, materials characterization, data analysis and drawing review
• Establish short-term plans with measurable contributions and communicate with stakeholders to influence policy and approach
