Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related discipline with 9+ years of related experience in chemistry and/or materials process engineering.
• Graduate degree in relevant technical discipline with 7+ years of related experience in chemistry and/or materials process engineering; or, in lieu of a degree, 13+ years of related experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of experienced materials process engineers and lower-level supervisors in the design, development, and modification of manufacturing processes for various materials applications.
• Oversee preparation, execution, and maintenance of materials and process specifications, including PMPP, corrosion control plans, and contamination control plans.
• Guide design processes including trade studies, supplier selection, concurrent design and development, materials characterization, data analysis, and drawing review.
• Analyze materials and material components to establish operating data, conduct experimental and laboratory tests, and evaluate results to ensure specifications and reliability.
• Establish short-term operational plans with measurable contributions toward functional and business area results.
• Communicate with internal and external stakeholders including customers, vendors, and senior leadership to influence policies and approaches.
• Conduct briefings with senior leaders on matters of importance to the function or business area.
• Exercise hiring, firing, promotion, and compensation authority for direct reports.
