Job summary

L3Harris Technologies in Virginia is seeking an Associate, Materials & Processes Engineering to contribute to the Propulsion Materials and Process Engineering team. You will evaluate and implement solutions related to materials science in production and development within propulsion technology.

This role offers exposure to process control, lean manufacturing, and manufacturing operations of propellants, explosives, and liners, with opportunities for growth and security-clearance considerations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or recent graduation in Chemistry, Material Science, Chemical Engineering, or related field.
• Experience or coursework in materials engineering and manufacturing processes is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in evaluating and implementing tractable solutions in production or development involving materials engineering.
• Gain experience in process control and lean manufacturing practices within propulsion-related manufacturing.
• Support operations of propellants, explosives, and liners as part of the propulsion materials team.
