Job summary

L3Harris Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Laboratory Technician / Chemist to perform chemistry lab testing and support material evaluation and production needs at our Camden, AR site.

The role involves operating FTIR, Instron, DSC, Microtrac, HPLC, and titrators, handling chemicals, and documenting results per procedures. A chemistry-related degree with related experience and the ability to obtain a U.S. security clearance are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree with 4 years of related laboratory or testing experience; OR Graduate Degree with 2 years of related experience; OR in lieu of a degree, 8 years of related experience.
• Practical or theoretical knowledge of chemistry lab principles and practices.

Responsibilities

• Handle, process, and mix chemicals in a laboratory environment following approved procedures.
• Operate laboratory instrumentation such as FTIR, Instron systems, DSC, Microtrac, titrators, and HPLC equipment.
• Sample and test raw materials, propellants, and energetic materials per established methods.
• Prepare, collect, and document raw test data; perform required calculations.
• Clean, assemble, maintain, and dismantle laboratory test hardware, equipment, and apparatus.
• Perform laboratory support tasks including instrument calibration, cleaning, inventory, inspections, and material handling.
• Generate and save test reports; record data in the required format.
• Review and support updates to laboratory documentation, including test and calibration procedures.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Security Clearance.
