Job summary

Figure is seeking a Materials Planning Manager in the San Jose area to own end-to-end planning for uninterrupted production of our humanoid systems. You will translate build plans into material requirements and partner with Manufacturing, NPI, and Global Supply Management to keep CTB and inventory aligned.

This hands-on, data-driven role requires 5-7 years in materials planning, strong ERP/MRP experience (SAP or Oracle) and advanced Excel skills.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or a related field.
Master's degree in Engineering or Supply Chain Management preferred.
5-7 years of experience in materials planning, inventory management, or supply chain operations.
Experience in high-volume manufacturing or complex hardware environments.
Strong proficiency with ERP/MRP systems (SAP or Oracle preferred).
Advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, demand modeling).

Responsibilities

Own module-level demand planning and translate build plans into material requirements.
Maintain master demand file and ensure accuracy between planned and actual builds.
Analyze yield rates and consumption trends to refine demand signals.
Develop and manage part allocation plans for constrained supply scenarios.
Own part change cutovers to ensure clean transitions without production impact.
Monitor inventory levels, turns, and consumption to prevent stockouts.
Drive inventory optimization aligned with production ramps and engineering changes.
Own the Part Request Approval process, ensuring alignment with demand and inventory strategy.
Own daily Clear-to-Build (CTB) reporting and ensure material readiness on the floor.
Identify and resolve material constraints impacting build schedules.
Oversee materials management activities including PO releases, ETA tracking, inventory accuracy and reconciliation.
Collaborate with Warehousing, Logistics, and Global Supply Management for shipping/inventory accuracy.
Support executive-level presentations with data-driven insights.
Identify bottlenecks and implement process improvements to improve planning accuracy.
