Job summary

Ultimate Staffing Services is seeking a Buyer Planner in San Jose to support purchasing, materials planning, and production operations in a manufacturing setting. You will manage material availability, review MRP output, and execute purchase orders to help ensure on-time production and shipments.

SAP experience is encouraged. The role requires a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and 1–3 years in buying/planning or related fields.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• 1-3 years of Buyer/Planner or related experience.
• Experience with SAP or SAP S/4HANA.
• Understanding of MRP, purchasing, inventory control, and planning processes.
• Experience with BOMs in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong Excel skills including formulas, lookups, reporting, and data analysis.
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
• Ability to identify supply chain risks and proactively recommend solutions.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Review MRP output and release purchase orders.
• Monitor material availability to support production schedules.
• Participate in daily and weekly production meetings.
• Identify and resolve material shortages, delays, and supply risks.
• Communicate inventory, purchasing, and production status to stakeholders.
• Generate reports and provide updates to leadership.
• Coordinate with suppliers and global manufacturing partners.
• Support kit completion and on-time shipment goals.
• Perform additional purchasing and supply chain activities as needed.
