Job summary

NovaSensor, part of Amphenol, is seeking a Planner/Buyer at its Fremont, CA facility. You will manage material plans, purchase orders, and supplier communications to ensure on-time production. You will collaborate with Production, Engineering, Quality, and Logistics to support stable manufacturing and new product introductions.

The role emphasizes data-driven planning, BOM accuracy, and continuous improvement in materials management. Regular interaction with the production floor is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
• 2+ years in materials planning, production planning, or inventory control in manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Run and manage MRP/MPS to convert demand into planned receipts.
• Create, release, and maintain purchase/planned orders; expedite with suppliers.
• Maintain inventory levels to meet service targets while minimizing costs.
• Support NPI by planning material releases for new products.
• Perform cycle counts and investigate inventory discrepancies.
• Coordinate with Quality/Engineering on BOMs and nonconforming materials.
• Monitor supplier performance and communicate risks proactively.
• Prepare planning reports and metrics for management.
