Job summary

NovaSensor, an Amphenol company, seeks a Product Quality Engineer to drive quality from concept through customer delivery, ensuring MEMS sensor products meet reliability and manufacturability standards.

You will partner with design, manufacturing, suppliers, and customers to implement best-in-class quality practices and maintain ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 across the product lifecycle.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering; advanced degree a plus.
  • Background in semiconductor manufacturing processes; MEMS sensing knowledge a plus.
  • Proficiency in problem-solving methodologies like 5-Why, 8D, and Fishbone diagrams.
  • Exceptional attention to detail with strong analytical and continuous improvement mindset.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication; cross-functional collaboration with suppliers, customers, and auditors.
  • Self-driven to learn quickly and have high impact.

Responsibilities

  • Own investigation of internal non-conformances, supplier issues, and customer complaints; coordinate cross-functional actions.
  • Lead root cause analysis and CAPA end-to-end; verify effectiveness.
  • Drive failure analysis with engineering and manufacturing; analyze data and document results.
  • Lead quality planning for new products and changes, including APQP and PPAP.
  • Manage supplier quality: audits, incoming qualification, and review of supplier docs.
  • Maintain and improve the QMS; ensure ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 compliance.
  • Plan internal audits and support customer/certification audits.
  • Create and maintain quality documentation, metrics, and reports; collaborate cross-functionally.

ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Product Quality Engineer at Amphenol NovaSensor, you will play a key role in shaping product quality from concept through customer delivery. You will implement best-in-class quality practices across product development and high-volume manufacturing, helping ensure the reliability, performance, and manufacturability of our MEMS sensor products.

This role offers the opportunity to work closely with design, manufacturing, suppliers, and customers while making a visible impact on products used in critical applications worldwide.

WHAT YOU WILL DO
  • Own the investigation of internal non-conformances, supplier issues and customer complaints , coordinate cross-functional activities and communicate outcomes to customers and stakeholders
  • Lead the root cause analysis , CAPA implementation end-to-end using structured problem-solving methodologies and verify effectiveness
  • Drive hands-on failure analysis in collaboration with the engineering and manufacturing teams, analyze data and document results
  • Lead quality planning for new product introductions and engineering changes, including APQP and PPAP activities.
  • Manage supplier quality performance, including supplier audits, incoming material qualification, and review of supplier quality documentation.
  • Contribute to maintaining and continuously improving the Quality Management System (QMS), ensuring compliance with ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 standards.
  • Plan and conduct internal audits and support customer and certification audits as required
  • Create and maintain quality documentation, metrics, and reports, and collaborate cross-functionally to ensure quality requirements are met throughout the product lifecycle.
WHAT YOU BRING ALONG
  • Minimum bachelor’s degree in engineering ( Electrical, Material Science, Physics, or related discipline ); advanced degree is a plus
  • Background in semiconductor manufacturing processes (fabrication, assembly, test) required ; Working knowledge of MEMS devices or sensors is a plus
  • Proficiency in problem-solving methodologies like 5-Why, 8D, and Fishbone diagrams
  • Exceptional attention to detail, proven strong analytical, problem-solving skills with a continuous improvement mindset
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, ability to collaborate across departments and with external parties (suppliers, customers, auditors) and manage multiple projects
  • Self-driven to learn quickly and have high impact
