Job summary

Nova Biomedical is seeking a Supply Chain Specialist I to join the Purchasing team in Waltham, MA. This role plans and places purchase orders, monitors supplier performance, and maintains planning data to support on-time material delivery and optimal cost.

Responsibilities include negotiating with suppliers, soliciting quotes, coordinating with Planning and Engineering, and ensuring accuracy of master data and reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Supply Chain, Business, or related discipline.
• 0–3+ years of purchasing, procurement, or supply chain experience.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and analytical skills.
• Excellent Excel skills and computer proficiency.
• Ability to plan, place, monitor, and manage purchase orders.

Responsibilities

• Plan, schedule, and place purchase orders based on MPS/MRP requirements.
• Monitor supplier performance and ensure on-time material delivery.
• Negotiate with suppliers to reduce costs and meet service levels.
• Maintain accurate item master data, lead times, and order policies.
• Collaborate with Planning, Engineering, and Finance to resolve issues.
