Job summary

Qualifications

• Associates degree in Supply Chain, Business, or related field with 3+ years of experience.
• MRP experience required.
• ASCM certifications such as APICS or CPIM a plus.
• Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.

Responsibilities

• Solicit bid proposals, review requisitions, prepare purchase orders, and maintain records while ensuring import regulation compliance and Pyrotek OFAC requirements.
• Research and evaluate potential and existing suppliers based on price, quality, capability, and technical specifications to drive cost improvements and obtain competitive freight quotes.
• Work closely with suppliers and internal stakeholders to ensure timely material flow, expediting orders to mitigate production or delivery delays.
• Process MRP reports to plan, schedule, and release work orders while aligning shop floor capacity, manufacturing lead times, and labor availability with customer deadlines.
• Evaluate stocking levels and safety stock parameters to optimize inventory turnover and ensure accuracy.
• Analyze production statuses and capacity utilization to identify bottlenecks and manage open work orders.
• Monitor demand changes and communicate variations or shortages to Sales, Customer Service, and impacted departments.
• Collaborate on S&OP calls and continuous improvement initiatives to drive on-time delivery through product life cycle.
