Job summary

Pyrotek is seeking a Buyer/Planner to manage the end-to-end material flow, from procurement of raw materials to delivery of finished goods. You will use MRP to ensure material availability, collaborate with suppliers, and coordinate with internal teams to meet customer deadlines.

The role requires an Associates degree and 3+ years in planning or purchasing, with strong negotiation and data-analysis skills. Experience with MRP and cost-improvement initiatives is a plus.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in Supply Chain, Business, or related field and 3+ years in production control or purchasing.
• MRP experience required.
• APICS/CPIM certification a plus.

Responsibilities

• Solicit bid proposals, issue purchase orders, and maintain records with compliance.
• Evaluate suppliers on price, quality, and capability to drive improvements.
• Expedite orders and coordinate with internal teams to meet deadlines.
• Plan, schedule, and release work orders using MRP, aligning with capacity.
• Monitor inventory levels and safety stock to optimize turnover.
• Collaborate with Sales and Operations Planning to improve on-time delivery.
