Job summary

PLZ Corp in Missouri is seeking a Material Planner / Buyer to support production by procuring materials, coordinating with suppliers, and ensuring on-time delivery of quality items.

You will manage purchase orders, track lead times, and communicate with internal teams to optimize costs, inventory levels, and total value while complying with company policies and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of purchasing or procurement experience in a manufacturing or distribution setting.
• Experience with ERP/MRP systems and purchase order management.
• Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Review requisitions and convert them into purchase orders.
• Source and expedite materials to support production schedules.
• Communicate pricing, lead times, and delivery status with suppliers.
• Monitor open orders and coordinate recovery plans for shortages.
• Collaborate with planning, operations, quality, finance, and logistics.
