Job summary

Ingersoll Rand Inc. is seeking a Material Manager to lead material planning, inventory control, warehousing and logistics to ensure uninterrupted production in manufacturing operations.

You will optimize end-to-end materials flow from suppliers to production lines and drive efficiency, accuracy and cost control. You will collaborate with Procurement and Quality, lead a cross-functional team of planners and buyers, and implement Lean, Kanban, and continuous improvement initiatives to improve

Qualifications

• 5–8 years of materials management or supply chain experience in a manufacturing environment.
• 3+ years of supervisory or leadership experience.
• Strong understanding of MRP/ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, JD Edwards, etc.).
• Expertise in inventory management principles and material flow optimization.
• Solid knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Kanban, and continuous improvement methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Develop, execute, and optimize material planning strategies to support production schedules and customer demand.
• Maintain accurate inventory levels, safety stock, and reorder points to prevent shortages or excess.
• Monitor daily material availability and resolve discrepancies or supply interruptions.
• Ensure timely and accurate cycle counts, inventory reconciliations, and root-cause analysis for variances.
• Collaborate with Procurement on supplier performance, lead times, and material quality.
• Escalate supply issues and partner with sourcing teams to develop recovery plans and alternative solutions.
• Oversee receiving, storage, picking, and delivery of materials to production lines.
• Drive Lean, Kanban, and continuous improvement initiatives to improve inventory turns and cost efficiency.
