Job summary

RTX is seeking a Materials Manager for the Alternate Work Week team at the Compression Systems Module Center. You will lead materials transformation initiatives, release materials, and drive Lean improvements to meet capacity and on-time delivery.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree with 8+ years in manufacturing operations or a Master’s with 5+ years, plus proficiency in SAP, Solumina, Power BI, and Oracle Data Management Tables. Onsite work with shifts Fri-Sun 6AM-6PM, benefits included.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree combined with 8+ years in manufacturing operations, materials management, CI, or related environment; or Master’s with 5+ years in engineering/operations/CI.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite; knowledge of continuous improvement principles (Lean, CORE, QCPC).
• CPIM certification or willingness to earn is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Alternate Work Week materials team and drive transformation initiatives.
• Release material, manage handling methods, kitting and material movement to ensure smooth production flow.
• Develop strategies to meet capacity, inventory controls, and cost reduction objectives; align with business units and departments.
• Collaborate with CSMC administration, materials, operations and 3PL; redefine processes and meet customer expectations.
• Provide leadership to hourly workforce and act as the center for weekend deliveries and TVA plan.
• Implement Lean manufacturing measures to balance value streams and identify opportunities.
• Establish system architecture designs considering customer requirements and resource availability.
