Job description

Kitron Group has been a leading electronics manufacturing services (EMS) company for over 40 years. Our U.S.-based facility, Kitron Technologies, is looking for a Materials Manager to ensure the right materials are available at the right time to support production and customer delivery. The position is full‑time and on‑site in Windber, PA. Candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S.

Working Conditions

Typical working conditions are indoors, safe, well lit, temperature controlled, with low exposure to noxious fumes. Production areas contain machinery with moving parts. Static dissipative smocks and shoes are required. Offices are clean, well lit, low noise, and temperature controlled.

Physical Demands

Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods. Occasional lifting of materials up to 40 pounds as needed.

Essential Job Duties / Functions
  • Inventory Management: Maintain optimal inventory levels, oversee cycle counting, analyze trends, and implement waste‑reduction strategies.
  • Warehouse & Logistics Oversight: Manage receiving, storage, material movement, ship coordination, and ensure safety compliance.
  • Cross‑Functional Collaboration: Partner with production, engineering, and quality teams; participate in production meetings; communicate material risks, shortages, and recovery plans.
  • Process Improvement: Identify and implement improvements in material flow, planning accuracy, support ERP/MRP optimization, and develop key performance indicators.
  • Leadership: Lead, coach, and develop team members; set expectations; foster a culture of continuous improvement.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Business, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 10+ years of experience in materials management, supply chain, or purchasing in a manufacturing environment.
  • 5+ years of leadership or supervisory experience.
  • Strong experience with ERP/MRP systems.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in electronics manufacturing services (EMS) or similar high‑mix, low‑to‑medium‑volume environment.
  • APICS/CPIM or CSCP certification.
  • Familiarity with lean manufacturing or continuous improvement methodologies.
