Job summary

About The Role

We’re looking for a hands‑on Maintenance Technician to join our maintenance team and support day‑to‑day operations in a manufacturing environment. In this role, you’ll perform preventative, corrective, and emergency maintenance on equipment, facilities, and grounds to keep operations running safely and efficiently. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys variety in their work, takes pride in maintaining equipment and facilities, and can work independently when needed.

What You’ll Do
Maintenance & Repair
  • Perform preventative, corrective, and emergency maintenance with minimal supervision
  • Conduct routine inspections, lubrication, filter changes, and cleaning
  • Maintain and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and transportation systems
  • Learn and follow the company’s preventive maintenance program
  • Recommend spare parts and preventative maintenance improvements to enhance reliability and efficiency
Facilities & Grounds
  • Perform outdoor maintenance work year‑round, including snow removal, concrete patching, and vehicle cleaning
  • Support general building and facility upkeep as needed
Vendor & Contractor Support
  • Coordinate with outside service providers and contractors
  • Obtain estimates and support cost‑effective maintenance solutions
  • Assist with the execution and completion of contracted work
Safety & Compliance
  • Follow all safety procedures and contribute to a strong safety culture
  • Assist with safety initiatives across the facility
  • Participate on the Safety Committee
  • Develop working knowledge of fire suppression and security systems

Perform other duties, projects, and maintenance tasks as assigned.

What You Bring
Required Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Minimum of 2 years of hands‑on maintenance experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
  • Experience working with mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and transportation systems
  • Ability to work independently in a fast‑paced environment
  • Strong communication skills and willingness to learn
  • Basic reading, writing, and math skills
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Valid driver’s license
Preferred Qualifications
  • Associate degree or technical certification
  • Ability to read and interpret manuals, schematics, and troubleshooting guides
  • Experience with CNC mills and lathes
  • Experience with control systems and 3‑phase electrical power
  • Working knowledge of HVAC systems
  • Forklift and scissor lift experience
Physical & Work Environment Requirements
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, reach, grasp, and climb throughout the workday
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation
  • Ability to work at heights using ladders and platforms
  • Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise
  • Ability to perform repetitive tasks using hands, arms, and tools
  • Ability to work indoors and outdoors in all seasons, including inclement weather
  • Visual and manual dexterity required to safely perform maintenance and repairs
  • Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE)
