Job Opportunity: Materials Manager / Senior Materials Engineer

The new polymer plastics business unit is immediately hiring a Materials Manager / Senior Materials Engineer. Responsibilities

1. Oversee research focused on PCR grade development.
2. Identify emerging trends and translate them into product opportunities.
3. Work with procurement and operations to maintain a robust and cost-effective supply chain for all grades.
4. Monitor PCR resin competitors in mechanical and advanced recycling.
5. Apply expertise in processing technologies including extrusion blow molding, thermoforming, and injection molding of polyolefins.
6. Identify patentable inventions and manage IP related to PolyCycle.
7. Stay informed on industry patents and developments in recycling.
8. Transform research into commercial new products.
9. Collaborate with operations to optimize manufacturing processes.
10. Work with sales and business development to maximize value for customers.

Qualifications

• Ph.D., MS, or BS in Polymer Science, Materials Science, Chemistry, or a related field.
• Extensive experience in polymer research and development, including polymer synthesis, characterization, and processing techniques.
• Proven leadership in research teams and successful product innovations.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for complex technical challenges.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for cross-functional collaboration.
