Job summary

USPI Cypress Endoscopy Center is seeking a Materials Manager to join our team. You will maintain inventory levels, establish par levels for supplies, and ensure utilization of national agreements while coordinating with vendors and departments to guarantee timely delivery.

Strong communication, organization, and knowledge of automated inventory systems are required. Healthcare experience is preferred, with an emphasis on accuracy and cost-conscious operations in a fast-paced ambulatory setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Two years minimum receiving and inventory experience in a health care environment required.
• Knowledge of computer inventory management systems and medical products.

Responsibilities

• Maintain inventory levels by checking shelves and automated inventory system.
• Establish par levels for all supplies and ensure proper placement and delivery of orders.
• Interface with departments and vendors to resolve supply issues and ensure timely delivery.

USPI Cypress Endoscopy Center

is seeking a motivated Materials Manager to join our team.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Responsible for the establishment and maintenance of a unit work environment that reflects USPI's EDGE™, performance improvement and customer service program consistent with the Corporation's Mission Statement.
• Maintains adequate inventory levels by checking shelves and automated inventory system and establishes par levels for all supplies.
• Ensures utilization of USPI national agreements.
• Interfaces with appropriate departments to ensure proper placement, follow up and delivery of orders.
• Interacts with sales representatives resolving issues and problems related to supplies or the delivery of supplies.
• Establishes and maintains proper document flow and information updates for the automated inventory system.
• Receives all incoming supply and equipment items.
• Checks supply dated items and regularly rotates stock.
• Implements and maintains all facets of the automated inventory system.
• Conducts quarterly physical inventory of implants and inventory items.
• Performs other tasks and duties as assigned in an efficient, effective and cost-conscious manner, complying with all USPI's policies, procedures and regulations.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Two years minimum receiving and inventory experience in a health care environment required
• Knowledge of computer inventory management systems, various software programs and medical products.
• Working knowledge of stocking and storing medical and non-medical supplies.
• Effective oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to lift and move items weighing up to 40 pounds.
