Job summary

United Surgical Partners International (USPI) Cypress Endoscopy Center is seeking a motivated Materials Manager to join our team in Houston, TX. The role focuses on maintaining optimal inventory levels, leveraging automated systems, and coordinating with departments for timely delivery of supplies.

Ideal candidates have healthcare inventory experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to lift items up to 40 pounds.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • At least 2 years' receiving and inventory experience in a healthcare setting.
  • Knowledge of computer inventory management systems and software.
  • Able to lift and move items up to 40 pounds.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain a work environment that reflects USPI EDGE™ and service program.
  • Maintain inventory levels and establish par levels for supplies.
  • Utilize USPI national agreements and ensure proper ordering.
  • Coordinate with departments to place, follow up and deliver orders.
  • Rotate stock, manage dated items, and conduct quarterly inventories.
  • Manage automated inventory system and document flow.

Job description

USPI Cypress Endoscopy Center is seeking a motivated Materials Manager to join our team.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for the establishment and maintenance of a unit work environment that reflects USPI's EDGE™, performance improvement and customer service program consistent with the Corporation's Mission Statement.
  • Maintains adequate inventory levels by checking shelves and automated inventory system and establishes par levels for all supplies.
  • Ensures utilization of USPI national agreements.
  • Interfaces with appropriate departments to ensure proper placement, follow up and delivery of orders.
  • Interacts with sales representatives resolving issues and problems related to supplies or the delivery of supplies.
  • Establishes and maintains proper document flow and information updates for the automated inventory system.
  • Receives all incoming supply and equipment items.
  • Checks supply dated items and regularly rotates stock.
  • Implements and maintains all facets of the automated inventory system.
  • Conducts quarterly physical inventory of implants and inventory items.
  • Performs other tasks and duties as assigned in an efficient, effective and cost-conscious manner, complying with all USPI's policies, procedures and regulations.
Qualifications:
  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Two years minimum receiving and inventory experience in a health care environment required
  • Knowledge of computer inventorymanagementsystems, various software programs and medical products.
  • Working knowledge of stocking and storing medical and non-medical supplies.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to lift and move items weighing up to 40 pounds.
