Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; include typing, mathematics, and ten-key calculator.
• Must read with comprehension, write legibly, and perform basic arithmetic.
• Familiarity with computer hardware and software preferred.
• On-the-job hospital methods and office procedures training may be provided.
• Storeroom/inventory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Unpacks items received and verifies shipment accuracy.
• Maintains perpetual inventory records via data entry.
• Maintains data using established clerical procedures.
• Performs periodic and annual inventory counts to verify accuracy.
• Delivers stock and maintains supply levels in departments and off-campus sites.
• Cleans, prepares and stores equipment and supplies per infection control protocols.
• Supports delivery of large volume capital deliveries and short-term storage.
• Maintains distribution and inventory of medical gas cylinders.
• Prepares return paperwork for returned goods and repairs.
• Prepares property cards and keeps proper filing.
• Local travel required.
• Other duties as assigned.
