Job summary

Daimler Truck North America LLC. in Gaffney, SC is seeking a Materials Supervisor to oversee shipping, receiving, storage, sequencing and delivery to production lines, ensuring parts arrive on time and in good condition.

You will lead a team, drive safety and continuous improvement, manage KPI tracking and Lean initiatives, and collaborate with internal and external partners to minimize shortages and optimize cost performance.

Qualifications

• BS/BA in business administration or logistics/supply chain management; 4 years experience preferred.
• Experience leading teams in high-volume manufacturing or logistics.
• Strong teamwork and cross-functional collaboration.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Lead shipping/receiving processes, material storage, sequencing, delivery, expediting, auditing, and other materials activities to support production and inventory control.
• Drive safety, quality, delivery, cost, morale, and environmental performance while developing team skills within Materials.
• Track time and absenteeism daily using Kronos; manage the materials scorecard and KPIs to reduce shortages.
• Manage Hours per Vehicle (HPV) planning, overtime, and balance; apply Lean Manufacturing concepts to improve efficiency.
