Job summary

Daimler Truck North America is seeking a Materials Supervisor in Gaffney, SC to oversee material movement and support production. You will lead shipping/receiving, storage, kitting, sequencing, delivery, expediting, and auditing to ensure on-time, correct parts handling.

Responsibilities include driving improvements in safety, quality, delivery, cost, and morale while developing team members. The role emphasizes Lean practices and Kronos-based time management to optimize performance.

Qualifications

• BS/BA degree in business administration or logistics/supply chain management and 4 years of relevant experience preferred.
• Demonstrated teamwork skills, including cross-functional collaboration.
• A full understanding of operations (production, quality, facilities, materials, etc.).
• Project Management

Responsibilities

• Lead shipping/receiving, storage, kitting, sequencing, delivery, expediting, auditing, and other materials activities.
• Drive safety, quality, delivery, cost, morale, and environmental performance while developing team capabilities.
• Track time and absenteeism daily for shop floor employees using Kronos.
• Track, analyze, and manage the materials scorecard to improve KPI outcomes.
• Support Lean Manufacturing and eliminate waste within the Materials Department.
