Job summary

Caterpillar is seeking a Material Handler to support production by picking, packing, receiving, stocking and delivering materials to the correct locations. You will document material movements and ensure the right parts are available when needed, using various material handling equipment.

Responsibilities include loading/unloading, cross-training in shipping, following work orders, and performing minor forklift maintenance.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 months experience in logistics and warehousing.
• Intermediate to advanced computer knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload materials onto pallets, trays, racks and shelves by hand.
• Cross train in shipping, receiving, and material handling/storage.
• Follow work orders and instructions to ascertain materials or containers to be moved.
• Load materials into vehicles and secure with strapping or padding to prevent shifting.
• Conveys materials from storage or worksites to designated areas.
• Perform minor preventative maintenance on forklifts.
