Job summary

Progress Rail, A Caterpillar Company, located in Jackson, SC, is seeking a Material Handler to support production by moving materials, stocking, and delivering to workstations. The role involves operating forklifts, pallet jacks, and possibly cranes to move components in a safety-conscious environment.

The ideal candidate will have 2–5 years of forklift experience and a background in heavy manufacturing, with ability to document processes and communicate clearly.

Qualifications

• High School Education or GED required.
• 2-5 years forklift experience preferred.
• Heavy manufacturing experience preferred.
• Ability to operate forklifts, pallet jacks and cranes where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate proper parts inventory maintenance and documentation.
• Prepare orders for shipment.
• Create shipping and receiving documentation (shop specific).
• Document and communicate the processing of incoming and outgoing materials.
• Operate industrial forklift, pallet jack, mobile equipment and/or overhead cranes.
• Follow work instructions, standards and safety procedures.
