Job summary

Air Systems Components, part of Air Distribution Technologies, Inc. seeks a Materials Manager to lead supply chain, production planning, inventory control, warehouse, and logistics at the Tarboro, NC facility.

You will ensure material availability for terminal unit assembly and sheet metal fabrication while driving efficiency and on-time delivery. The role collaborates with operations, manufacturing, purchasing, engineering, and customer service to optimize material flow and implement continuous

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in related field.
5+ years of progressive experience in materials management, production planning, inventory control or manufacturing operations.
Experience in fabrication, assembly, or sheet metal processing preferred.
Strong understanding of MRP/ERP, inventory management, and production scheduling.
Experience leading warehouse, logistics, planning or materials teams.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving and organizational skills.
Strong communication and cross-functional leadership capabilities.
Preferred certifications include APICS CPIM, CSCP, CLTD or related supply chain credentials.

Responsibilities

Develop and oversee master production schedules to support demand and on-time delivery.
Ensure material availability for terminal unit assembly and sheet metal fabrication.
Balance production capacity with material constraints to optimize throughput.
Collaborate with production, procurement and customer service to manage changing demand.
Utilize ERP/MRP systems to support planning, forecasting and inventory management.
Lead inventory control processes including cycle counts and physical inventories.
Manage raw materials, fabricated components, purchased parts and finished goods inventories.
Drive reduction of excess/obsolete inventory while maintaining safety stock.
Analyze inventory trends and implement forecasting to improve turns and service levels.
Coordinate movement of materials across fabrication, assembly and warehousing.
