The role ensures parts availability, supports safe operations, and drives cost-efficient performance by coordinating with Maintenance, Engineering, QA, and Finance across maintenance programs and AOG events.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent aviation materials experience.
• 7–10 years in aviation materials, supply chain, procurement, or inventory control.
• 5+ years in leadership roles managing teams, budgets, and vendor relations.
• Strong knowledge of FAA documentation, rotable and expendable inventory.
• Experience with TRAX, eMRO, Silverwings or similar systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide executive leadership over aircraft materials, rotable components, expendables, tooling, stores, shipping and receiving, vendor services, and parts logistics.
• Develop and execute a materials strategy that supports aircraft availability, maintenance production, AOG recovery, heavy maintenance events, line maintenance support, and cost control objectives.
• Lead procurement activities to ensure parts are sourced from approved suppliers with proper documentation, traceability, certification, and regulatory compliance.
• Oversee inventory accuracy, cycle count programs, physical inventory, shelf-life control, quarantine processes, calibrated tooling support, and hazardous material handling.
• Manage repair orders, warranty claims, core returns, exchanges, overhaul support, and component repair vendor performance.
• Partner with Maintenance Control, Planning, Engineering, Quality Assurance, Finance, and Operations to align materials support with scheduled and unscheduled maintenance requirements.
• Monitor KPIs including parts availability, AOG response time, inventory accuracy, repair turnaround time, purchase order aging, warranty recovery, obsolete inventory, and budget performance.
