Job summary

Aegis Worldwide is seeking a Materials Supervisor to oversee planning, procurement, inventory control, warehousing, shipping, receiving, and distribution of materials and finished goods in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

The role emphasizes leading a team, ensuring material availability, inventory accuracy, and production support while coordinating with cross-functional teams to meet customer and production needs. Strong leadership and communication are essential for success.

Responsibilities

• Maintain optimal inventory levels to support on-time deliveries while controlling costs.
• Supervise year-end physical inventory and ensure perpetual system accuracy.
• Oversee disposition of obsolete or excess materials and valuation.
• Direct production planning and scheduling to meet forecasts and operations needs.
• Coordinate customer release schedules and delivery commitments.
• Partner with Purchasing to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
• Investigate and resolve material shortages and supply chain disruptions.
• Develop and analyze reporting for materials management functions.
• Oversee shipping, receiving, warehousing, and finished goods storage operations.
• Identify opportunities for JIT and inventory optimization.
• Ensure compliance with procedures and policies.
• Recruit, train, coach, and develop team members.
