Job summary

Hartford Electric Supply Company is seeking a hands-on Warehouse & Inventory Supervisor to lead daily receiving, shipping, warehousing, inventory control, and production material support in our manufacturing environment.

The successful candidate will supervise a small materials team, own inventory accuracy, and ensure ERP transactions reflect physical movements while coordinating with Purchasing, Production, Project Management, and Quality.

Qualifications

• Several years of experience in warehousing, inventory control, materials management, shipping/receiving, or related manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of inventory transactions and the link between physical material and ERP records.
• Proven ability to organize work, set priorities, solve problems, and work independently.
• Hands-on in daily warehouse operations and able to lead a team.

Responsibilities

• Direct and participate in daily receiving, shipping, warehousing, kitting, and material-handling activities.
• Supervise, train, and coordinate the work of Materials personnel.
• Maintain accurate inventory locations, quantities, and ERP transactions.
• Coordinate cycle counts, investigate discrepancies, and process inventory adjustments.
• Oversee receiving activities, including quantity verification, basic incoming inspection, ERP receipts, and routing material for inspection.
• Coordinate production kitting and staging for repeatable production and custom projects.
• Ensure material for active jobs is identified and delivered to Production as required.
• Coordinate outbound shipments, packaging, ERP transactions, carrier arrangements, and third-party shipping requirements.
• Research and resolve material, inventory, and transaction discrepancies.
• Work with Purchasing, Production, Project Management, Quality to set priorities and resolve material-flow issues.
• Identify and implement improvements to warehouse organization and inventory controls.

ASG is seeking a hands-on Warehouse & Inventory Supervisor to lead day-to-day receiving, shipping, warehousing, inventory control, and production material support activities within our custom manufacturing environment.

This position supervises a small materials team while remaining actively involved in warehouse operations. The successful candidate will take ownership of inventory accuracy and material flow, coordinate priorities across Purchasing, Production, Project Management, and Quality, and ensure that physical material movements are accurately reflected in our ERP system.

We are looking for someone who understands not only how warehouse and inventory activities are performed, but why strong material controls matter—and who can independently translate business priorities into effective day-to-day execution.

Key Responsibilities

• Direct and participate in daily receiving, shipping, warehousing, kitting, and material-handling activities.
• Supervise, train, and coordinate the work of Materials personnel.

• Ensure material received for active jobs is properly identified and delivered to Production as required.
• Coordinate outbound shipments, including packaging, documentation, ERP transactions, carrier arrangements, and third-party shipping requirements.
• Research and resolve material, inventory, and transaction discrepancies.
• Work closely with Purchasing, Production, Project Management, Quality, and other departments to establish priorities and resolve material-flow issues.
• Identify and implement practical improvements to warehouse organization, inventory controls, and material-handling processes.
• Remain actively involved in warehouse activities as workload requires.

Requirements

• Several years of experience in warehousing, inventory control, materials management, shipping/receiving, or a related manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of inventory transactions and the relationship between physical material and ERP inventory records.
• Demonstrated ability to organize work, establish priorities, solve problems, and operate independently.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to inventory accuracy.
• Ability to lead and train other employees while remaining hands-on in daily operations.
• Experience using ERP or inventory-management systems.
• Ability to work effectively with multiple departments and balance competing operational priorities.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in a manufacturing or job-based production environment.
• Experience with Epicor or a comparable manufacturing ERP system.
• Experience with production kitting, cycle counting, inventory reconciliation, and shipping/receiving transactions.
• Prior lead or supervisory experience.
• Forklift experience or certification.

This position is well suited for an experienced warehouse or materials professional ready to take greater ownership of an operation. Prior supervisory experience is valuable, but strong materials knowledge, sound judgment, initiative, and the ability to independently turn direction into results are particularly important.
