Job summary

Dakkota Integrated Systems is hiring a Material Coordinator in Chicago to manage daily materials and inventory operations. You will maintain accurate inventory, coordinate inbound/outbound logistics, and support production through effective materials management and supplier communication.

Ideal candidates have 1–3 years in materials, logistics, or automotive manufacturing, and proficiency with inventory systems and MS Office.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent experience in materials or manufacturing environment.
• 1–3 years of experience in materials, logistics, or automotive manufacturing.
• Experience with inventory systems and JIT environments.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel).
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage time-sensitive tasks.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and follow standardized processes.

Responsibilities

• Maintain inventory accuracy by entering discrepancies, cycle counts, and receipts into systems.
• Monitor inventory levels and run reports each shift to ensure appropriate supply levels.
• Communicate supply issues and risks to suppliers, Material Planners, and leadership.
• Support inbound and outbound logistics including expedite activity and shipment tracking.
• Pull inventory to support production requirements and build-outs.
• Follow engineering change procedures and min/max inventory processes.
• Support plant inventory activities, dock operations, and shipment transactions.
