Job summary

Polaris Inc. is seeking a Production Supervisor to support daily production, coach operators, and drive Lean improvements in Huntsville, Alabama. The role emphasizes problem solving, 5S, and visual management to enhance safety, quality, and cost performance.

You will lead teams, manage cross-training, and escalate issues to sustain continuous improvement and strong customer outcomes in a dynamic manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

• Identify and remove obstacles affecting operator standard work.
• Support daily production by quickly containing and escalating problems.
• Drive continuous improvement and escalate issues to implement improvements.
• Develop and support quality initiatives to achieve top quality and customer service.
• Document problems for root cause analysis and countermeasures.
• Use structured problem-solving to eliminate waste and drive improvements.
• Audit operator standard work and provide feedback for compliance.
• Maintain visual management and 5S to improve processes.
• Be flexible to work overtime with little notice.

Responsibilities

• Run daily team meetings to improve safety, quality, service, and cost.
• Coordinate vacations and call-ins with peer leads.
• Support operator training and cross-training to broaden skills.
• Provide leadership and uphold Polaris culture and values.
• Mentor and coach operators in lean and Polaris Production System.
• Communicate clearly across department levels in a changing environment.
• Ensure a safe working environment for all employees.
• Lead additional duties as assigned.
