Job summary

Kewaunee Scientific Corp. is seeking a seasoned inventory and materials leader to coordinate receipt, restocking, and verification of internal material requirements, ensuring timely, line-side delivery to production.

You will optimize inventory levels, manage cycles, and drive cost controls and loss prevention through active monitoring and reporting. You will lead the materials team, oversee Kanban and VMI programs, and implement SOPs to minimize inventory investment while maximizing efficiency

Qualifications

• Experience managing raw materials, inventory accuracy, and cycle counts.
• Proven ability to lead a team and drive continuous improvement.
• Strong understanding of lean principles and cost-control practices.
• Proficiency with ERP systems and standard office software.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate receipt, restocking, and verification of internal material requirements.
• Maintain optimal inventory levels and determine material and capacity needs.
• Monitor inventory levels, shortages, and replenishment actions using business systems.
• Track inventory turns and implement reduction initiatives and stocking strategies.
• Lead Kanban, min-max, VMI, discrete ordering, and consignment programs.
• Develop SOPs and lead lean material flow and inventory management initiatives.
• Supervise and coach the materials team, manage labor efficiencies and OT%.
