KEWAUNEE SCIENTIFIC CORPORATION is hiring a Materials Coordinator for the 2nd shift in Statesville, NC. The role focuses on coordinating delivery, restock, and inventory verification to ensure timely receipt of materials for production.

Responsibilities include cycle counts, waste reduction, and leading lean material flow initiatives, while maintaining PFEP and effective inventory management to support internal and external customers.

Qualificações

• 2 years related experience; High School Diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook; ERP experience is helpful.
• Must have valid North Carolina driver’s license.

Responsabilidades

• Maintain computer tracking system to monitor inventory levels and determine shortages.
• Conduct cycle count inventory, and audits.
• Help develop processes that strive to eliminate waste including excess and obsolete parts.
• Notify Manager and production of shortages or other problems that could impact manufacturing.
• Instruct manufacturing staff on proper procedures for locating and utilizing production inventory.
• Plans, organizes, and monitors storage of new materials to ensure a smooth and consistent process to satisfy both internal and external customer requirements.
• Lead material replenishment duties including signals, basic supply strategy decisions and material pull systems.
• Lead lean material flow and inventory management initiatives in a proactive manner.
• Help create methods and SOP’s to achieve effective and efficient movement of materials and finished goods while maintaining minimum inventory investment.
• Participate in problem solving (PDCA & 8D), safety, quality, cost reduction, process improvement teams.
