Job summary

Ingersoll Rand is seeking a Materials Manager to lead the flow of materials, teams, and execution at the West Chester, PA site. You will oversee material planning, buyer/planners, and production scheduling to ensure alignment from demand through delivery in a just‑in‑time, make‑to‑order setting.

You will own inventory strategy, warehouse operations, and end‑to‑end cycle counts, driving improvements in on‑time delivery, inventory turns, and cost reduction while coaching a team across multiple

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 5+ years of experience in materials management in a manufacturing environment with lean concepts, MRP practices, and supplier relationships.
• 5+ years of ERP system experience (SAP, Oracle, etc.).
• 3+ years in managerial experience focusing on standardizing planning & execution, reducing sourcing complexity, and talent development.
• 3+ years of cross-functional alignment across operations, supply chain, and production planning teams to execute business objectives.

Responsibilities

• Safety: foster a safety culture and implement safety policies and training in compliance with OSHA regulations.
• Inventory Control: plan, order, execute and manage storage of raw materials using SAP/MRP to meet Master Schedule and service requirements; oversee lean replenishment and storage on the production floor.
• Strategy: translate objectives into annual goals and KPIs; set targets and routines to manage the business.
• Product Lifecycle: manage material lifecycle, obsolescence, and new product introduction requirements.
• Management: develop employees through recruitment, training, coaching, and goal setting.
• Problem solving culture: foster Daily Management practices using data, tools and change leadership.
• Other responsibilities as assigned.
