Job summary

Johnson Controls seeks a Material Flow & Intralogistics SME to set enterprise standards and drive the technology roadmap across all plants. The role is hands-on, with direct problem solving at the plant floor, warehouse, and line.

You will lead global governance and deploy best practices while partnering with suppliers to ensure top-tier material handling capabilities. You will own safety, quality, delivery and cost improvements, and build a scalable, global playbook with measurable results.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial/Manufacturing/Logistics or related field.
• 10+ years in material flow, intralogistics, or manufacturing systems.
• Hands-on AGV/AMR, conveyor, and layout experience.
• Willingness to travel internationally (30–50%).

Responsibilities

• Define, publish, and govern global standards for AGV/AMR safety and integration.
• Own multi-year technology roadmap for material flow and intralogistics.
• Identify, codify, and deploy best practices across all plants.
• Qualify and audit global suppliers for AGVs, AMRs, conveyors, and warehouse automation.
• Build capability via training, certification, and hands-on mentoring.
• Lead hands-on problem solving on safety, quality, and cost issues at Gemba.
