Job summary

Johnson Controls seeks a Materials Flow & Intralogistics SME to standardize how material moves across its plants worldwide. You’ll lead AGV/AMR and conveyor design, set the enterprise roadmap, and drive rapid, on‑floor problem solving with a bias for actionable results.

You will work closely with manufacturing, engineering, and supply base partners, spending significant time on the plant floor to deliver safety, quality, and cost improvements at scale. Travel internationally 30–50% is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or a related field is required.
• Hands-on Gemba leadership experience on manufacturing floors.
• Experience defining material-flow standards and driving continuous improvement.
• Willingness to travel internationally (approximately 30–50%).

Responsibilities

• Define, publish, and govern global standards for AGV/AMR safety and integration.
• Own the global technology roadmap for material flow and intralogistics.
• Deploy best practices across a global plant network with rapid pilots.
• Serve as liaison between manufacturing engineering and plant operations.
• Build capability through training, certification, and mentoring.
