Qualifications

• Pursuing a B.S. in Materials Science/Engineering or Metallurgy.

• Familiarity with metallurgical lab procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical properties testing.
• Evaluate in-house heat-treated parts.
• Assist with failure analysis projects.
• Check incoming parts for metallurgical conformance.
• Evaluate microstructures of steel, aluminum and other materials.
• Monitor plating and cleaning solutions (wet chemistry).
• Document test and evaluation results.
• Communicate with engineers, mentor and internal customers regarding materials investigations.
